From March 22 to March 24, 2018, the managing partner of our firm Mr. Henry Liao and Mr. William Deng attended the 2018 LAW (“Lawyers Associated Worldwide”) Asia Pacific Regional Meeting which was held in Hong Kong. More than 40 lawyers from mainland China, Hong Kong, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and India, attended the meeting. 

Outside speakers were invited to the meeting to give speeches for the attendees on the topics of “Five Secrets to Success in the China Market through Digital Marketing”, “Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on the Legal Profession” and “What do In-House Counsel truly want from their external legal providers”. Also, the speakers had a further discussion with the attendees on the topics after the speeches. After that, some of the attendees made introduction to the topic of “Block Chain” and shared experience in some other professional areas, e.g. debt collection. Furthermore, the attendees discussed about how to build bridges between the Asia Pacific members, and explored the feasibility of lawyer exchanges with each other. At last, the attendees updated with each other about what were new in their firms. 

This meeting strengthens the mutual understanding and trust between Schinders Law and other member firms of LAW, which would further promote the cross-border legal cooperation and help provide the clients with higher-quality and more reliable cross-border legal services.
