On April 24, 2014, at the invitation of Federation of Hong Kong Industries, Mr. Henry Liao, and Mr. Legend Guo lectured to the Operation Management Class on “Legal Issues Related to E-commerce in Mainland” in Hong Kong.

Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) was established in 1960 with the objectives to promote and foster the interests of Hong Kong’s industrial and business communities; to promote trade, investment, technological advancement, manpower development and business opportunities in Hong Kong; to represent business’s views and advise the government on policies and legislation which affect business. In recent years, through organizing symposiums and delegations, FHKI has made great contributions in helping Hong Kong industries to understand Mainland policies and in promoting economic and trade exchanges between Mainland and Hong Kong.

In their lecture, Mr. Liao and Mr. Guo focused on the Legal Issues Related to E-commerce in Mainland. Mr. Liao and Mr. Guo summarized the e-commerce related legal issues, analyzed those issues from the perspectives of advertising, consumer protection and intellectual property protection. They introduced the procedures to set-up and manage foreign-invested e-commerce, summarized possible problems incurred and brought up relevant solutions. The lecture was informative and  well-received by the participants.
